Those who know me well know that I am very passionate about finding ways to grow personally and improve our community. I've been brainstorming different things that I can do in my own life to 'create a good day' and I thought I'd share some of them with you here.  I hope you find something here that inspires you!

  • Learn something new - Learn something you aren't proficient at. Whether it's a new language, hobby, or going back to school, get started on it today! It will give you patience in teaching because you'll remember how tough it is to master something new.

  • Establish a workout routine - There are few things that are better for you than regular excercise, but I know how hard it can be to commit! Pick something that you really enjoy doing, like dance or biking, and build your routine around that. I also read that starting your workout music mix 30 minutes before you start your workout helps get your mind and body in gear for the actual workout. Definitely worth a try!

  • Write a letter to your future self - Write a letter to yourself to open 12 months or 5 years from now.

  • Start a 30 Day Challenge - There are so many to choose from these days. Enlist a friend or your partner and commit to completing a 30 day challenge!

  • Identify your weakness - The best way to find out where you need to improve is to study your blind spots!

  • Make a To-Do List - Not just the one you'd use for a day, but a to-do list for the next 12 months, or the next 5 years, then post it up somewhere you'll see it every day to help you stay on track.

  • Volunteer - There are so many ways that we can give back, find a cause that you are passionate about and give your time. There are few things as rewarding as giving your time to serve others.

  • Start a journal - Even just a sentence or two a day, or a weekly recap, it's great to have this to look back on and see your growth

  • Read a book - Step outside your comfort zone here and pick something different than your usual genres, or have a friend choose the book and commit to reading it!

  • Meditate - There is a lot of research showing the benefits of meditation and it's something that you can do in just a few minutes a day.

  • Join a Mastermind Group - A Mastermind group is a group of motivated people who callenge each other to create and implement goals. It is a great way to keep yourself focused and get honest feedback and ideas from others.

  • Build something - Using your own hands to create something is very rewarding and you sometimes learn that you have skills you weren't aware of before! Give Blood Plant a Vegetable Garden
