Project Spotlight: Curb Appeal Makeover

We would like to take the time to highlight some of the amazing projects and lawn makeovers that our extraordinary team has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception through to completion, and it shows!

This client built a brand new home in the Lugano subdivision, but felt the landscaping on the side of their home left much to be desired.
The specific wants from the client were:

  • A fruit tree for seasonal fruit
  • A focal point plant outside their window
  • Using a lot of color for curb appeal.
  • Adding Boulders into the design for some different textures

After sketching a 3D design for them to show them what it could look like with The Master's touch, they got really excited about the future of their home.

These photos are from a little over a year after the installation, and you can see that it has grown in just the way it was designed!

Lawn Project Spotlight: Landscape Renovation

This client had planned for years to build their dream house and wanted a space to entertain off their back porch.

The specific wants for the back of the house were:

  • Entertaining area with Gas Firepit
  • A MIxture of boulders and pavers
  • Screening for outdoor shower
  • Area for "Stock Tank" Industrial pool
  • Keeping all entertaining areas within close proximity (Outdoor kitchen, firepit, patio)
  • Butterfly garden to bring color and wildlife

The biggest challenge for this design was a steep slope off the back corner of the house, causing the need for a large natural retaining wall to keep the firepit area close to the outdoor kitchen.

Take a look at the photos of how it turned out!

Project Spotlight: Lawn Health Renovation

We would like to take the time to highlight the amazing projects that the team at The Master's Lawn Care has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception to completion and it shows!

This client contacted us in hopes of diagnosing their lawn problems and wanted to see if there was anything to be done that would save it.

After an in-depth lawn analysis, we discovered active chinch bugs were not being controlled and eating away at the turf.

We then put together a lawn program that would help not only control chinch bugs actively, but preventatively going forward as well.

We put our work into:

  • Getting the irrigation schedule set properly
  • Adjusting the mowing heights
  • Strong weed control program to allow turf to fill in
  • Proper lawn and soil nutrition program to boost it's growth
  • Adjusting irrigation coverage to hit "dry spots"

We then began to rehab this lawn over the course of...

  • Setting up a lawn care program

We then began to rehab this lawn over the course of 18 months. With some patience and understanding of a lawn program, it ended up saving about $10k of sod work.

This client purchased a new house in the Longleaf subdivision. They wanted to create a more friendly backyard space for their dog to play in without tracking mud and dirt into the house.

How did we make such a turnaround happen?

  • We installed artificial turf
  • We installed river rock
  • We added drainage to prevent water from draining towards the house

These solutions turned their tiny dirt yard into a low maintenance, pup-friendly space that will help keep the house clean and mud-free.

Project Spotlight: Patio Renovation

We would like to take the time to highlight some of the amazing projects and lawn makeovers that our extraordinary team has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception through to completion, and it shows!

This project came from a long term client in the suburban heights subdivision that we do landscaping for. She was tired of her inconsistent patio that was also a trip hazard going from tile to concrete. They wanted to join their patio space to include room to their new grill. This happened during covid and they wanted to create more space for entertaining outdoors.

How did we make such a turnaround happen?

  • Removed the tile
  • Cleaned the concrete
  • Thinned the paver overlay
  • Created one consistent pattern/surface color

We created an outdoor living space they now use to safely entertain in their backyard that they love to spend time in and enjoy....

Lawn Project Spotlight: Zoysia Lawn spreads from Plugs to Picture of Perfection

This client called to see what could be done to saver their Alachua lawn. She had planted Zoysia plugs a year ago throughout their huge front yard, but weeds were taking over the plugs and now it was more dirt and weeds than grass. Could anything be done to save it?

Our lawn pest control team took a soil sample, took some photos, and went to the drawing board to put together a program that would work, and here's what it was:

✅ - Fertilization
✅ - Proper Irrigation timing
✅ - Post-Emergent weed control
✅ - Soil Amendments to help boost the soil health
✅ - Pre-Emergent Weed Preventative

Rinse and Repeat every 6-9 weeks

The lawn TOOK OFF LIKE WILDFIRE! The Zoysia plugs had been silently begging for proper fertilization and help fighting off the weeds so they could grow - and grow they did.

Take a look at the before and after photos to know just how big of a lawn health turnaround this was.

Project Spotlight: Lugano Subdivision Landscape Upgrades

We would like to take the time to highlight some of the amazing projects and lawn makeovers that our extraordinary team has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception through to completion, and it shows!

This client was purchasing a new home in the Lugano subdivision by Haile Plantation, but the side and back of the home's landscaping left much to be desired. It was a blank slate, which is perfect for a great local landscape design team!

They wanted to have:

  • Lemon tree that was large enough to already bear fruit
  • Appealing color in varying seasons
  • Enough spacing to alow plants to grow in
  • A mixture of annuals, perennials, and greenery.
  • Flowering trees to anchor both sides of the backyard for future shade.

The design included all of the above with the added dimension of landscape boulders for a...

Project Spotlight: Backyard Outdoor Living Renovation

We would like to take the time to highlight the amazing projects that the team at The Master's Lawn Care has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception to completion and it shows!

This client came to us with a backyard that was sloped, heavily shaded, and full of wasted space.

They wanted a backyard they could:

  • enjoy
  • entertain guests in
  • grow herbs in
  • be proud of
  • maintain with low input and time

They got all of this and so much more! We started with tree pruning to raise the canopies off the roof. Then, we partnered with the homeowner to design an outdoor living area utilizing terracing to create different levels of their patio, a raised bed for growing herbs with ease of access by the back door, and florida-friendly landscaping to finish it off - our team took this backyard from unusable to a beautiful outdoor living space. We cannot wait to see it with some new furniture on it!...
